The "Nile Fever" virus returns to Albania, 3 victims and 17 infected;

 The "Nile fever" virus has returned to Albania, where 3 deaths have been recorded so far.

The head of infectious diseases at the Institute of Public Health, Silva Bino, has spoken about the situation, confirming 17 more affected cases and 19 more possible, for which the results of the analyzes are awaited.

This disease broke out in July.

The first case is suspected to have been an immigrant who stayed in the city of Lushnja and after returning to Greece was confirmed to be affected by this disease.

"Nile fever" is transmitted by mosquitoes, and in the mildest forms, the disease in patients lasts from 3 to 6 days.

The symptoms of the virus are similar to those of the flu, as they include fever and general discomfort.

Nile fever is one of the most common diseases transmitted by mosquitoes and varies from 2 to 15 days and in milder forms the disease lasts from 3 to 6 days.

The virus does not spread from person to person.
