The head of KOKSH, Fidel Ylli, has stated that ministers and MPs prefer sports betting to operate illegally because they gamble money earned through corruption.
In an interview for the show "Debat" on A2CNN, he added that these people do not want their face to appear on mobile phones as envisaged by the new scheme of operation of online betting, which received the green light from the government.
" We must continue to do politics with this. That neither the betting companies nor the government asked for this. Sport asked for it. We were the main pillar that stood up to the government and the prime minister. We told him we have 8 months to wait. Come on, tell us the reasons why they won't be opened. Because I thought and I think that those who oppose him don't want his face to appear on the mobile phone. That there are MPs who play, and ministers who play and want in the dark because it is easier for them to gamble with the corruption money they earn.
We say take it out, take it out into the sunlight. Oh, I'm not mentioning names, but MPs are also people, they have emotions, obviously they can play too. Did you see during the hearings of the judges who said that we won 50 million ALL because we played the lottery. That's why I say people are, if they intend to play, let them play by the rules of the state. The vice is not closed by law, countries stronger than Albania have proven it. That's why they made it a state monopoly that they control ," said Fidel Ylli.
