The accusation is expected to be communicated today to his son-in-law, Jamarbër Malltezi, who will arrive at the Special Prosecutor's Office at 14:00.
Until now, Berisha, under house arrest since December 2023, has been investigated for passive corruption in connection with the privatization of the former "Partizani" sports complex, while his son-in-law Jamarbër Malltezi, who profited by building towers on the land, is accused of corruption. passive and money laundering, also under house arrest.
The two prosecutors of the case are Arben Kraja and Enkeleda Minollai.

Former Prime Minister Berisha, under investigation by SPAK, is accused of having taken concrete actions in passing laws and by-laws, to favor his son-in-law Jamarbër Malltezi, one of the owners of the land where the Partizani sports complex was located, on which he later built 19 towers. In the meantime, Malltezi is accused of passive corruption and money laundering, after having received income in the amount of 5.4 million euros in an irregular manner thanks to the government decisions made by his father-in-law, Berisha.
