Analyst Ben Andoni has commented on the tensions in the Assembly and the intervention of foreign embassies.
According to him, the way politics is being developed in the parliament shows that it is the weakest legislature. As for SPAK, everyone has high expectations, but for him the work was worth it, since already many officials and former officials are being investigated and are appearing at the doors of the Prosecutor's Office.
"The way politics is being managed in the parliament is the weakest legislature. It is not that there are no results in the justice system, but it is far from the expectation, just think of that mountain of files in the Supreme Court.
It was worth it. If it wasn't worth it, we wouldn't be looking at all those individuals who are investigated and all those people who come to the doors of SPAK. We have a more concerned and careful administration in terms of documents" , said Andoni.
As for the embassies, according to him, they have reacted in Albania whenever the situation has worsened between the parties. As long as they react even now, it is not that we have any consolidated democracy compared to years ago.
They intervened again so that the parliament could function properly, in the interest of society and the country's economy.
"Every position of the American Embassy and the United Kingdom is always viewed with suspicion. The German Embassy, for example, presented real problems of German businesses in Albania a few years ago. Previously, when there were protests, they were directly involved as in 97. Whenever there were irritations, they served as mediators. Even in this case, their non-involvement was a kind of respect for democracy. Now that they are hiding, it is not that anything has changed, we remain a hybrid democracy, while we wait for their reaction.
They intervened to show you both sides. They are interested in the product for the parliament to be effective in helping society, the economy, and increasing the well-being of Albanians ", said Andoni for "Fax News".
