The action to free public spaces/IMT lands in Saranda, the fences around the buildings are removed

IMT and the Tirana Municipality Police have begun demolishing the fences to free up public spaces.

This morning, the Inspectorate of Territorial Protection (IMT) Saranda, in cooperation with the Municipal Police, has launched a large-scale demolition campaign in the city. This operation is part of the national campaign to free up public spaces, a well-known action that is now being implemented throughout the country.

The first demolition operations have begun in neighborhood no. 4, Kodër area, where the fences around several buildings have been removed. Residents and owners of these spaces were warned earlier to carry out the removal voluntarily. After the deadline expired, the authorities intervened today with forces and technical means to execute the decision.

This action is expected to be extended to other areas of the city, aiming not only to free illegally occupied public spaces, but also to restore their functionality for the community.
