Ukraine's ambassador to Albania, Volodymyr Shkurov, has confirmed that Ukrainian soldiers have been trained in Albania.
He did not give many details, but he said that this is very accurate information.
The ambassador even said that this issue was also discussed during President Zelensky's visit to Tirana.
"I cannot speak in detail about this, but I can say that it is correct, true, and the assessment of this in Ukraine is very high. During the visit, this issue was discussed and evaluated with very high marks", said Shkurov.
The ambassador also shared the impressions of the Kiev delegation from the recently held summit in Tirana. Shkurov said that the joint statement of the summit showed support for Ukraine and that the countries of the region understand the situation that Ukraine is facing.
He revealed that President Volodymyr Zelensky returned to Ukraine satisfied with the visit and with the best impressions of Albania and Albanian hospitality.
Shkurov emphasized that Albania's presidency in the UN Security Council has been very successful if the context of where Ukraine is located is taken into consideration.
