Commenting on the law on Criminal Amnesty, analyst Dritan Hila said that certain political elements can be favored. According to him, this law was postponed because there were disagreements.
He also said that with this law, people who have been sentenced to a few years in prison can be released from prison.
"There are many people who are in prison for minor crimes and there is overcrowding in the cells. In the processes, there are not only politicians from the left, but also from the right. Certain elements may benefit from this amnesty. There was disagreement, while the law was reversed. For people convicted of corruption, I'd rather have your assets seized than jail time. The corrupt official can be sentenced to a minimum of years in prison and his property confiscated. That's how his career burns. At least that's how the outside world works. The negotiation was done in the interest of both parties," said Hila for "News 24".
