Analyst Andi Bushati considers the February 20 protest to be the largest that the opposition has held after the 2021 elections.
Invited to the show "The Unexposed" on MCN TV, Bushati said that some opposition militants do not accept to be treated as "idiots" and to be told that they are being governed by an "outstanding and very good" prime minister, as considered Secretary Blinken, Edi Rama.
" To be honest, I did not expect such a large turnout. For me, since the 2021 elections, this is the biggest protest that the opposition has made, that's why I was surprised. There are many who say that this was a kind of joy of DP militants, a joy for the union, so to speak, what Rama has done to us for three years we are trying to overcome.
For me, as I saw it, it can be called a bit provocative, but it is the biggest rally that happens to the opposition, which coincidentally comes five days after Blinken's visit. Not that every person who went there said I'm going to break Blinken's nose, but there is a part of the electorate that does not accept being treated as an idiot.
It cannot be accepted, not even by Blinken, Macron or Meloni, that you Albanians, who are abandoning your country, that half of the population is falling into poverty, are led by an outstanding leader and a fantastic prime minister, as Blinken said. A good part of Albanians cannot digest this message. Despite the fact that in that protest, Blinken's name was not mentioned, for them it seemed as if Blinken had not passed through Tirana at all ," said Bushati.
