After the Appeal decision of GJKKO to sentence Fredi Beleri to two years in prison, the ambassador of Greece in Tirana, Kostantina Kamitsi, has stopped speaking to the media.
The ambassador questioned the decision, saying that many aspects of this issue raise questions.
" Unfortunately, many aspects of this case raise questions regarding the objectivity of the process, such as the issue of violation of the presumption of innocence, prolonged detention, disproportionate punishment and the denial of the right to swear.
Despite the wishes of the people of Himara, as they expressed through the election process, the municipality is still run today by people who were not elected by the voters," said Kamitsi.
