Lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu said that the arrest of Ilir Beqaj proved that SPAK is not controlled by Edi Rama, since according to him it is not a criminal gang.
Spahiu says that Rama and Beqaj are childhood friends, adding that this shows that it is not Rama who does not let go of his friends, but SPAK who takes them by Rama's arm.

It could happen that the prime minister gives Beqaj a higher position and he continues to steal. When you're a kleptomaniac you don't ask. The stench of corruption is stronger than sterilization. The first act has affected the lives of thousands of Albanians. I want to remind those who don't know that Ilir Beqaj is the only friend and childhood friend of Edi Rama. He is a friend of the basketball team where they both played. They have both grown up. And he kept it politically. He doesn't let go. The last story shows that it is not Rama who does not let go of his friends, but it is SPAK who takes them from Rama's arm. It shows that SPAK is not Edi Rama's gang and is not controlled by SP.
