Analyst Mentor Nazarko spoke about the arrest of the former Minister of Health Ilir Beqaj by order of the Special Prosecutor's Office.
He stated that SPAK has shown two different standards in the prosecution of the investigation.
Nazarko further emphasized that what happened with Beqaj should also concern the right wing, meaning the opposition, because there are many open issues.
"Due to a long time that the left has been in power, issues for which SPAK has been activated are related to this third term in power, also with the activation of the opposition that has privileged denunciation dimensions, bringing the issues to SPAK. This explains why SPAK, in that big mountain of jobs it has, has chosen figures who are mostly associated with the left. Beqaj's fate may change if he is accused twice in the SPAK court. What is happening with Beqaj is an indication that SPAK itself does not have the same standard of criminal prosecution of crimes. I think it is a tougher, stronger action in the case of this case of abuse at the head of the agency for managing foreign aid, than it is in the case of sterilization where what is thought to be the wasted value of public money is more bigger than this. SPAK seems to be more rigorous in the second investigation, while in the matter of sterilization it seems as if it is a different investigator. It seems as if there are two different standards even within SPAK" , he said.

"This is a new justice that is working alongside, or together with this majority that has been in government for three mandates. This is a new model. The other model is the one that PD complains about, why this or that is not persecuted. But I can't say which model is better or worse, but I can say that with this new model of functioning of specialized justice, we actually give sovereignty, in the affairs of justice to foreigners, to our friends , Westerners. And SPAK in one way or another is run by foreigners, that's why they don't care who is affected more or less. But if one wants to consider the principle of scales or balance as a principle to be followed, what happened with Beqaj should concern the right wing because there are many issues that have been opened and we can have, why not action on them now . If Beqaj has used such low standards, then it is to blame for all of Beqaj's activity" , said Nazarko for "Abc News".
