Journalist Anila Hoxha, has given details on the arrest of the former Minister of Health Ilir Beqaj, revealed how many years in prison he may risk, after he was arrested today, for abuse of funds.
" We must say that within two days Beqaj appeared for verification of conditions, together with other persons. SPAK's investigation is based on receipts and wiretapping. It's still early, but if these criminal offenses remain, Ilir Beqaj risks 4 years of imprisonment ", reveals the journalist.
Hoxha also shows the high price of some of the invoices from the Gzona restaurant, ranging from 15,000 euros to 125,000 euros, while also mentioning the vehicle that the former minister declared was not his.
SPAK also considers a vehicle, which was in the name of his trustee, as concealment of wealth, but SPAK has also seen the media where Ilir Beqaj appeared in SPAK and a policeman imposed a fine on this vehicle. SPAK considers that there is sufficient evidence that the vehicle was also owned by Ilir Beqaj, but that he hid this fact.
As if he has hidden the fact that the sole partner of "Gzona" is the former minister, but on the other hand this subject is included in several paid invoices, one of them for some services performed and the total invoice is 4 million ALL. Connecting the fact that Beqaj is a partner, perhaps it is a circumstance of corruption that will aggravate his situation.
One bill is 20,000 euros for consulence, another is 15,000 euros, one bill is 125,000 euros, for organizing a conference ," said Anila Hoxha.
