Analyst Frrok Çupi has spoken about the situation in the municipality of Himara, which has been left without a mayor, because the incumbent, Jorgo Goro, was arrested by order of SPAK.
Çupi said that Himara is hostage to nationalist ideology, while he compared it with Shkodra, where the latter, according to the analyst, is hostage to communist ideology.
Among other things, the analyst said that Greece is playing a game and using its own policy in Himara, while adding that there was no other reaction, just like with Beleri.
"It seems to me that Himara has the fate of Shkodra. For a long time, Shkodra was left without cleaning up the waste, without doing the housework. They say 30 years. There are similarities between Shkodra and Himara, they are hostages. We are dealing with ideological factors, Himara is hostage to the nationalist one, while Shkodra is the communist one. We are afraid of Enverism in Shkodër and of the Greeks in Himare. In the construction of the city itself, it is tasteless. They say "Our Himara", it is Himara where nothing is invested.
The Greek state is in a kind of neighborly crisis. Greek politicians did not think that Albania is advanced. There was no reaction for Goron unlike with Beleri. Greek politics raised the Greek citizen, now it cannot bring him down. The reality in Himara is a clash of ideologies. The danger is no longer in nationalism, but in these situations the mafia intervenes" , said Frrok Çupi for "Abc News".
