Ulian Barjami's arrest, lawyers return to court hearings 5 ​​days after boycott

On Monday, all lawyers will return to court hearings.

This was a decision issued by the Chamber of Advocates, which imposed a boycott of court hearings in protest from October 20 to 25 following the arrest of lawyer Ulian Barjami. The exception to the decision was hearings to determine security measures.

Ulian Barjami was arrested on October 18 after a confrontation in the Elbasan courtroom with prosecutor Gjergji Ceka. Barjami was arrested by Judicial Police Officers following allegations that the lawyer threatened the prosecutor in court after using the phrase 'I will deal with you personally'.

Lawyer Barjami was released from prison on the evening of October 20, while lawyers continued the boycott, which affected all levels of the judiciary, including the Constitutional Court.
