After the arrest of the former MP, Jurgis Çyrbja yesterday, his lawyer, Bruna Kullolli, was seen today at the institution of the accusation. This morning, the lawyer withdrew the investigative materials in the Special Anticorruption Court. According to her, Çyrbja has never been questioned regarding the case for which SPAK issued an arrest warrant against him.
Çyrbja was arrested yesterday afternoon as it is suspected that the former deputy was a user of the SKY application and that he cooperated with members of a criminal group in Durrës. An accomplice identified as Ahmet Masha was arrested along with him. Masha is the second person who was imprisoned by order of SPAK. He is a known name to the judiciary and the Police, for several previous criminal offenses and investigated.
In addition to the arrest of Çyrbje and Masha, Altin Hajri has also been declared wanted. According to SPAK's announcement, the former deputy is accused of "Active corruption in elections", "Supporting the author of the crime" and "Trading of state secrets by citizens". SPAK has not provided more details about the arrest but has announced that they will hold a press release tomorrow.
