The former mayor of Fier, Baftjar Zeqaj, has revealed that SPAK has been called for the tender of a water supply. Two days ago he was seen at the doors of the prosecutor's office, but did not give details. Today in an interview he admitted that he is being investigated by SPAK, as he said that the procedures at that time were not carried out by the local government, but by the board established by the government at that time headed by Berisha
" I stated what I knew about a case about the water supply of Fier, it is an open case a few months ago. The water supply of Fier has not been dependent on the mayor, it was a decision of the Council of Ministers during Berisha's time that a board was built and the board elected the director. It was outside any kind of influence of the chairman, both from the legal side, but also morally, since the board chose the director himself ", said Zeqaj.
Zeqaj further said that the media mistakenly considered it as evidence for Ahmetaj's request to meet Mirel Mërtir.
" The connection was made by mistake since Ahmetaj sent me a message where Mërtiri was mentioned. There is no connection !', said Zeqaj.
