Analyst Frrok Çupi spoke about the decision of the Strasbourg court on "January 21".
He emphasized that with these developments, Albanian citizens will be able to see what they have been waiting for a long time, the bringing to justice of those responsible for this event.
Mentioning the issue of the Partizani complex, Gërdec as well as January 21, Çupi added that the one from '97 can be added to this list of large files.
"This is the legal, legal and investigative umbrella of three decades of politics that committed crimes in Albania. You mentioned the three biggest issues, but in the meantime it has generally been hidden in the news, due to a deep lack of perception, the re-opening of the 1997 crime with the Kuçova case, the retrial, has started. It means that there is a decision of the Supreme Court and usually the decisions of this court are precedents, which means that the whole case of '97 will be opened after these.
Something is happening that people have really been waiting for and looking for, eager for justice, but in the meantime they had lost hope that one day they will be judged for these issues. The first, that they looked at the perpetrator as very powerful and violent, such as the Berisha government and Berisha himself, and the second, that they had never seen a true justice that goes to the core of things, where the head of state is concerned. In this case, the crime is not like any crime of murder or theft, this is a crime that cannot be hidden because the perpetrator is too big, it is the state. We are the only country on the map of Europe after '45 that committed crimes against humanity", said Çupi for "Abc news".
