The security expert, Fajton Softa, says that the possibility of Ervis Martinaj being alive and sheltered in some underground base is not excluded.
Commenting on the fate of Martinaj, Softa said that as long as there are no facts, it is possible that he is alive, that he was killed, and that he even lives in Albania.
He recalled the case of Italian mafia boss Matteo Messina Denaro, who lived in a modest apartment for years while wanted by Italian justice.
Part of Softa's statement on the "5 Questions" show:
Sometimes we look for them far and we can have them close, because the safest place is your place where you have built your castle. It has often happened that the most wanted people lived close to their homes, even building underground shelters. Other people who were said to have been killed were also dismembered. Ervis Martinaj may be outside, may be inside, may be killed, all possibilities are as long as there is no information about his fate.
If he will be alive, his financial possibilities are such that he can also do aesthetic interventions. People from these interventions have also changed their gender, not their appearance.
Albania has had quite a few cases where underground tunnels have been used, the case of an escape from a high security prison, where they rented a premises nearby and dug while going near the prison. The same thing happened to people who had created an underground base.
