Heavy snowfall and rain have caused traffic disruptions on several major road segments in Albania. Authorities have taken emergency measures for the safety of citizens.
Traffic on the Llogara Pass has been blocked by the State Police, who have deployed officers to the scene to prevent vehicles from passing. Heavy snowfall and frost have made movement in this mountainous area dangerous.
Meanwhile, the old road axis connecting Fier with Vlora is temporarily blocked due to flooding from the Vjosa River, which has overflowed its banks. As a safety measure, traffic has been diverted to the highway, where vehicles will continue to move until the water recedes from the flooded segment.
The State Police have set up checkpoints in the affected areas to guide drivers and prevent potential incidents. Authorities are calling on citizens to exercise caution and respect posted signage.
