An Albanian army vehicle, sent to help the residents of Katund i Ri in Durrës, has become stuck in water as a result of flooding caused by heavy rainfall. The military vehicle was unable to continue its movement and remained blocked on one of the roads in the area.
According to reports from the field, the army vehicle was only able to escape the situation after residents intervened with a private tractor, pulling it back onto the road. Footage and testimonies from the area show that the residents' intervention was decisive, while state vehicles proved inadequate for the real conditions on the ground.
Katundi i Ri is currently one of the most problematic areas of Durrës; dozens of homes have been flooded and some roads remain impassable. Residents are demanding concrete interventions and functional tools, while the situation on the ground clearly shows that the institutional response continues to be delayed and more formal than effective.
