The director of INSTAT, Elsa Dhuli, spoke about the population census.
Invited to Euronews Albania, she said that the process of processing the Census data as well as the post-Census survey has already begun, and at the end of this it will be possible to release the exact number of the population, housing and data others.
"Actually, we have to say that the Census started on September 18 and had an extension until October 30. We extended the collection time, due to the identification of areas with new buildings built after the earthquake. These parts were identified by staff and that took its time, it went until November 15th, then we continued with a verification process to measure the coverage and the quality of the process, to see how well it was done.
INSTAT organized a survey, or a survey, after the Census. This survey was organized in 100 randomly selected areas throughout the country and questions and interviews were conducted with randomly selected families to understand if the interviewer had conducted the interview properly and had passed all the questions. Based on this, we will also measure the percentage of coverage and determine the quality indicators, to prove that the field process was qualitative.
This phase ended at the end of December. Now we have started the data processing process, both results will be compared and we will come out with a qualitative and reliable figure which will give the number of the population, age groups, population by age or gender as well as other indicators , according to the relevant modules in the content of the questionnaire", said the director of INSTAT.
