Journalist Sokol Bregu has spoken about the threats and insults that the chairman of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, has made against the head of SPAK, Altin Duman.
Bregu said that such attacks are understandable because Meta is worried that what has resulted after SPAK's investigations against him, could finally stop his political activity.
" Anyone who is facing an interruption of a political activity is expected to make their own attacks. I don't understand what we would expect from Meta, to say "thank you SPAK for investigating me"? Those who see this rhetoric are more concerned and he is not. If he was so blackmailable, all those who were accused would come out and talk like this and get away with it. What we thought is that since he has held the most important positions in the country, he should have a different form of presentation ", said Bregu for the show "Breaking".
Among other things, he said that this harsh approach from Meta towards SPAK comes after the president of PL is trying to delay the submission to GJKKO of the investigation file on the "CEZ-DIA" affair. While he emphasized that regarding the 3 cases for which Meta and Kryemadhi are being investigated, the latter's mother was among the last on the list of witnesses.
" Maybe this is a way Meta can delay his whole investigation. This could be a deterrent, a strategy to delay the sending of the file that has been under investigation for more than 5 years. However, the file was not investigated during the time that Meta was president and when he lost his immunity, the investigation continued rapidly.
The time has come for him to give a conclusion to SPAK if he will send him to GJKKO. We are at the end of the investigation. As far as I know regarding the file, the mother-in-law was one of the last witnesses to be questioned, but she is on the track of hiding income and evasion. Yesterday there was a call from former LSI member Ralf Gjoni about lobbying. So it is about 3 issues ", said the journalist.
According to him, SPAK was not at all offended by Ilir Meta's threats or accusations against Altin Duman.
