British media "Daily Express" a few days ago, devoted an article to cases of illegal transportation of money from Great Britain by Albanians living there.
In many cases, it was money that came from drug trafficking.
In a Skype connection for "Albania Live", the British journalist Zak Garner Purkis said that it is not only about the transport of drug money but also about the transport of money of illegal Albanian immigrants who work in honest jobs. He added that the transport of money by cargo van is also done by individuals, not only companies.
"It is not about some companies that do transport from Great Britain. I have lost with certain people who have been asked to transport from 9 thousand pounds or other large sums. This is something that happens very often. They are people who work honestly and do not do illegal work, but they want to transport the money they have to Albania" , said the journalist.
As for the "codes" used for the transport of money, Purkis said that it is enough for the person who handles the transport not to open the suitcase for a moment, and in exchange for this he would receive a reward in a certain amount.
"In exchange for not talking and not asking any kind of questions about the amount of money that is given to them in the suitcase and they are given some kind of reward", said the British journalist as he emphasized that according to him it is about millions of pounds that are transported in this way.
"We know very little about the amount of money being transported to the UK. I don't want to speculate because we don't have exact figures, but as far as I understand from what the authorities report, we are talking about millions of pounds" , he said.
At the end of the interview, where he was also asked about the investigation done on the advertising of Tik-Tok's "bar houses", he said that teenagers are victims of influencers.
