What will be the fate of Freddy Beller? The Special Court takes the decision
Sali Berisha, judge Irena Gjoka and Fredi Beleri

Meanwhile, Beleri, on the one hand, while attacking Judge Gjoka, on the other hand, begs the internationals to escape prison and swear an oath.

Today, the Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime takes the decision for Fredi Beleri, who is in prison under the charge of buying votes.

Yesterday, an article was published in the Greek media, attacking judge Irena Gjoka, who is one of the judges in the Beleri case, with the claim that she was arrested and deported from Greece and did not declare this fact during the vetting. The Greek media article came a day before the trial against Beleri.

The same accusations were made days ago from the balcony of the house where she is being held under arrest, former Prime Minister Sali Berisha who said that the judge has even changed her last name from Spata to Gjoka.

Meanwhile, Beleri, on the one hand, while attacking Judge Gjoka, on the other hand, begs the internationals to escape prison and swear an oath.

He has sent an open letter to the EU and US embassies asking for their help. But the surprise lies in the fact that the Americans declared him "non grata" a long time ago.

The Greek media even accuses the US of being the ones keeping him in prison through the new justice system. Beleri swears and swears that he is being treated unfairly and that he has not stolen any votes.

The Special Prosecutor's Office requests a sentence of 2 years and 6 months in prison for the elected mayor of Himara.

Fredi Beleri and Pandeli Kokaveshi, in the hearing held on February 28, requested innocence or the minimum punishment provided for criminal offences. The defense of the elected mayor of Himara read its conclusions for more than 3 hours, where lawyer Geni Gjyzari summarized all his claims in 54 pages. The focus was mainly on the evidence where he demanded the invalidity and unusability of all interceptions and observations made by the Prosecutor's Office of Vlora, the Police and then SPAK. According to him, the trial of the case for Fredi Beleri and Pandeli Kokaveshi is invalid because it was based on evidence that was not obtained in accordance with the law.

Fredi Beleri, the candidate of the "Together We Win" coalition for the municipality of Himara, was arrested on May 12 in his bar, while offering money worth 8 votes in the amount of 40,000 lek. The arrest came after the denunciation to the prosecutor's office by a person who had indicated that he had been offered money in exchange for votes.
