Ilda Zhulali, international relations expert, spoke about the statements of the French President Emmanuel Macron about Kosovo and the demands regarding the conduct of the elections in the North.
According to Zhulali, on Saturday it is expected that Kurti and Vucic will sit at the table in Brussels and on Thursday an urgent request will be approved that will be in support of Kosovo and will demand sanctions against Serbia.
The expert also focused on Macron's statement about Kosovo, stressing that this is an open pressure on Prime Minister Kurti that there will be no withdrawal from the measures that have been imposed on Kosovo anyway.
"On Saturday we will have a meeting in Brussels where Prime Minister Kurti and President Vucic are expected to sit at the table. This is something that must be taken into account. On Thursday, an urgent request will be approved, this will be in support of Kosovo and will ask sanctions against Serbia.
Her taxi was also preceded by the rapporteur for Kosovo in the EP, who said that he will ask the EC to take a much tougher stance towards Serbia. The whole environment is such that it will require a greater exercise of force by the EU towards Serbia.
Macron's statement today was that we will not reduce the pressure on Kosovo, looking at it diplomatically for those who understand because the suspension of visas, today Macron does not have any kind of mechanism to put this into effect in January 2024.
