Lawyer Spartak Ngjela commented on the Berlin Process Summit which was held for the first time yesterday in Tirana.
Asked how he views the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, he said that if Kurti sits in the talks, he betrays his country, as Serbia must first bear responsibility for the gun attack on September 24.
"There are no negotiations. If Kurti sits in the talks, he betrays Kosovo. He attacked. Attack is damage, moral and material damage. Kurt has to issue the bill. To say this is the damage you have caused to Kosovo, pay 4 billion dollars and then we start the game. They attacked with guns. Why is Kurti going to make fun of his own people?", Spartak Ngjela told "Euronews Albania".
We recall that, yesterday, Prime Minister Albin Kurti, before the start of the Berlin Process Summit, met with the German MP, Michael Roth. In this meeting, the current situation in Kosovo and the dialogue process were discussed. As for the dialogue, Kurti said that he cannot continue as if nothing happened.
In his speech before the leaders of the European Union, but also of the Western Balkans, among them the Serbian Prime Minister, Ana Bërnabič, Kurti conveyed strong messages saying that Kosovo is still threatened with invasion by Serbia and according to him, this fact is enough for the Summit not to continue work as usual.
"In a terrorist attack against Kosovo on September 24, one of our police officers was killed, but the perpetrators still roam free in Serbia even though they publicly admitted their involvement. This was a heinous act sponsored by Serbia, as the incontrovertible evidence shows.
We have confiscated over 5 million euros of sophisticated weaponry and ammunition produced in Kragujevc and Çaçak. Four times in the last two years, Serbia has brought its army to our border. Even twenty-five years after the genocidal campaign, and after so many rounds of dialogue, Kosovo is still threatened with invasion by Serbia. This moment requires us to reflect and not continue work as usual. Such an action should not go unpunished" , Kurti said.
He said that the Serbian President is busy in China, as he added that he asked Prime Minister Brnabić to sign the agreement, but she did not accept.
