Journalist Artan Behrami has commented on the statement of French President Emmanuel Macron, who yesterday threatened Kosovo for visa waivers.
In an interview for Euronews Albania, he emphasized that the EU uses visas to blackmail Kosovo since the latter has met all the standards.
According to him, the liberalization of Kosovo's visas has always been a political process for the EU.
"The liberalization of visas is like the promised land, it is a collective and social nightmare that the EU has been lying to the citizens of Kosovo for a decade now that such a process is only related to the fulfillment of standards related to certain and technical issues .
Kosovo has met the standards, but the EU has unfairly used visa liberalization as a blackmailing and political tool to put pressure on the elites in Kosovo by connecting with the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue and dialogue process what we have seen from France . I think that this is a new drama, but somewhat expected since the liberalization of visas is linked to a political process. "The EU uses visas to blackmail Kosovo ," he said.
