The court session at the Special Court for the incinerator of Tirana, planned for today, where SPAK was supposed to bring information on the investigations for the arrested officials of the Municipality of Tirana, has failed.
The reason for the failure of the session was the absence of the prosecutor of the case. The next session is scheduled to be held on April 29 at 12:00.
Meanwhile, the lawyer Ermal Yezeiraj, who represents the arrested Namik Simixhiu, former member of the Tirana incinerator procurement commission, has presented the requests for his client to GJKKO.
According to the lawyer, Namik Simixhiu has had one kidney since 2011 and forensic medicine is aware of the fact. The latter has recommended that approval be obtained from the Directorate of Prisons to undergo medical checks, in exchange for the corresponding payment of the official defense request.
This procedure, although carried out, says the defense, has been met with the non-response from the prisons for four months, to give approval for the health visits, while bringing to attention that this situation may bring consequences for Simixhiu, who is in prison.
We recall that last December GJKKO set some security measures for the former officials who signed the considered corrupt tender for the Tirana incinerator. Prison arrest was set for Lefter Kokë, Alqi Bllakon, Bledar Karolin, Taulant Tušëm and Namik Simixhiu. While Alba Thoma, Valbona Ballgjini, Sidita Temali, Pëllumb Abeshi, Etleva Kondi and Silena Tola were left under house arrest.
