Investigations into the violence against lawyer Sokol Mêngjesi continue. The police believe, at least according to the testimony of Dorian Ali, that the lawyer was hit by order of Dritan Nano.
The reason is suspected to be the refusal of the latter to respect the obligations stemming from a service contract with the lawyer's legal office.
As part of this investigation, police sources claim for Voxnews.al that the businessman, Arben Reli, was also accompanied and interrogated.
Reli is one of the eight heirs of the property for which the service contract was concluded with the lawyer.
Lawyer Sokol Mêngjesi was attacked by four young men on the morning of May 29, the police identified the perpetrators as Dorian and Drivald Aliu, Romario Tabaku and Elton Kasaj.
Dorian Aliu, Dritan Nano's son-in-law, turned himself in regarding the incident.
For the other three perpetrators, the police do not officially provide information on their location, while they have made available a 20,000 euro reward for anyone who helps in their arrest.
Meanwhile, Sokol Mêngjesi continues to be intubated at the Trauma Hospital. The lawyer has not yet passed the danger to his life, as the doctors will make an attempt to bring him out of the artificial coma this Monday.
