Historian Zydi Shehi, who a few days ago raped his roommate to death in an asylum in Tirana, has passed away.
Zyhdi Shehi was hospitalized for four days. He suffered from Parkinson's and dementia.
The news was given by researcher and former MP Fatmir Toçi, who says that he passed away today in a hospital in the capital.

Zydi Shehi was a well-known figure in his Kavaja as a family man and devout citizen, researcher passionate about history, especially for his city, Kavaja and its surroundings and author of several publications of special value and interest in this field, bringing previously unknown facts and interpretations. For these contributions to his city and the emancipated society of Kavaje, he was unanimously declared by the Municipal Council of the city "Honorary Citizen of Kavaje", a well-deserved title for an outstanding personality with concrete contributions like Zydi Shehi, who throughout his life his reflected kindness, correctness and culture, the example and model of the contemporary citizen.
His death after a long and painful illness, with painful problems and situations undeserved for his noble nature has saddened not only his family, relatives and friends, but also every kavaja and everyone who knew him or his precious work.
Condolences and may you rest in peace!", writes Fatmir Toçi.
Regarding the murder in the asylum in Tirana where Virxil Vesho lost his life, the court ordered the admission to the psychiatric hospital for the perpetrator of the crime, Zyhdi Shehin.
