The President of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, has reacted again about the ships with 816 toxic waste. In a statement to the media, Meta called it a scandal, while emphasizing that they will demand a parliamentary investigation.
Meta said that PL MPs will join the other opposition legislators and demand a parliamentary investigation on this issue, according to which it damages Albania's image as a tourist destination.
Question: Mr. Meta, after the waste scandal, KURUM closed the factories, leaving around 500 workers unemployed. On the other hand, there has been no reaction from the Albanian government, perhaps to negotiate with the company, regarding this sudden closure.
Ilir Meta: It is very clear that we are dealing with a mafia activity, for which Edi Rama bears the responsibility. Because, he has captured all state institutions. There is no independent state agency.
