Azgan Haklaj, candidate for deputy in the Tirana District under the Euro-Atlantic Democrats logo, criticizes the two major parties, the DP and the SP, for having erased the national issue from their electoral programs.
In a post on social media, Haklaj emphasizes that "even the dictator Hoxha, in congresses that were less luxurious than these, formally dedicated a chapter in his speeches to Kosovo and the Albanian national issue."
According to him, official Tirana has forgotten the Albanians outside the state borders despite the fact that Kosovo is threatened, those in North Macedonia are being attacked, those of Montenegro and the Presevo Valley continue to be reduced by anti-Albanian policies, or even the Cham lands in northern Greece.
"If I ever stand again on the podium of the Albanian Parliament, the map of the lands and native population drawn in my conscience and soul will be opened and defended at any moment, not with aggressive calls but on clear democratic, humane and Euro-Atlantic principles."
"The oppressors are mocking Albanians with jokes and perverse language, so May 11 should be the "last supper" of these rascals," Haklaj writes.
"Why is the national issue missing from the electoral programs of Rilindja and Risthemilit??!!
In the name of the homeland!
It is unacceptable, if not absurd, and reprehensible as the election campaign is coming to an end and the Rama-Berisha duo has not spoken out a single line or sentence about the Albanian national issue.
Even the dictator Hoxha, in congresses that were less luxurious than these, formally dedicated a chapter in his speeches to Kosovo and the Albanian national issue.
While today there is grave silence from the political oligarchy of Tirana.
In the country's constitution, we have constitutional responsibility for the Albanian population living in ethnic territories outside the homeland, but the "Fathers" of the economic and autocratic quadrature are not concerned about Kosovo, which is declining and endangering international support, or about North Macedonia, where the national-chauvinists in power are trying to outlaw our native language.
No one cares about the Cham lands under Greece, posing with kisses and hugs with the members of the terrorist organization "Mavi".
No one is worried about Presheva and Ulcinj.
This is an act of shame that Albanians at home and in the diaspora must punish on May 11th with a vote alone.
Neither Edi Rama's integrations and imaginary community passport, nor Sali Berisha's false nationalism as it resonates with neo-communist Albin Kurti, can hide their political madness that smells bad by ignoring the Albanian national issue.
This is unacceptable, unprecedented and condemnable.
This has its own sad explanations and everyone knows it, as these hostage takers of democracy are seeking votes not for Albanians and Albanianness, but to continue their rule by hostage taking of democracy and thievery.
If I ever stand again on the podium of the Albanian Parliament, the map of the lands and native population drawn in my conscience and soul will be opened and defended at any moment, not with aggressive calls but on clear democratic, humane and Euro-Atlantic principles.
No one can stop my cry for Kosovo being threatened, for the language and rights of Albanians in North Macedonia being attacked, for the Albanian population in Presevo, Medveđa, Bujanovac being atrophied, for Ulcinj being endangered, or for Preveza and the Cham lands being forgotten.
This is not an electoral promise but a subconscious that should dominate Albanian politics.
But unfortunately the reality is bitter!
"The oppressors are mocking Albanians with jokes and perverse language, so May 11 should be the "last supper" of these rascals," Haklaj writes.
