Journalist Klodiana Lala has expressed regret over the situation in which the Democratic Party has been reduced, after it was learned that only a woman named Mereme Sela was allowed to run against Sali Berisha, while other candidates, including Ervin Salianji, were rejected.
She emphasized that this race is ridiculous and if the party does not open up soon it will eventually die.
"I'm sorry for where the DP has fallen. I don't know why Berisha says hold elections, it's a shameful farce. I congratulate the lady for having the courage and showing her face there. In a place where Molotov cocktails have been thrown, armored doors have been broken, and there's been a fight over the seal, what's the point of making this completely ridiculous? If Salianji were in the race, it would give him some kind of seriousness even though we are convinced he wouldn't win. I think that within the DP there are plenty of assets that could come together and open that party. Otherwise, it's a dead party.
If there is one person to blame for the state of the DP, it is Sali Berisha. A party is not held for personal interests.
As long as Berisha has turned the party into a tool for his own personal interests, it is pointless to discuss the race.
I do not prejudice Meremen, but I do not believe that a member of the DP will go and vote for the lady. This is all shameful. There must be strong criticism of Berisha. It should end once and for all, if it does not open up, it is destined to die," Lala said on the show "The Unexposed".
