Journalist Anduena Llabani has stated that the former head of the Guard of the Republic, Ndrea Prendi, has left Albania, after the January 21 file was passed to SPAK for investigation.
Llabani said that the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana has been working on the investigation of this case, but according to her, politics and in particular Prime Minister Edi Rama have hindered its work.
She also said that SPAK should declare incompetence in this matter.
"On the 13th anniversary of the commemoration of January 21, we have Rama who declared that we have an investigative body without a backbone. Although January 21 is a case that has been investigated by the prosecutors of Tirana for more than 2 and a half years, it is true that we do not have an answer about the cartridge that was carried out in Rome, but they have brought the answer and this matter is kept very secret. Many weapons have been sent to Italy for examination.
They asked for weapons because they finished examining the projectile. At the moment they finished examining this cartridge, they asked for a part of the weapons, to compare who the weapon is because the weapon will lead them to the author. We are at this stage, but there is a lot of political interference in this story.
Rama says we have a prosecutor without a backbone, the case should be passed to SPAK, etc. SPAK, in my opinion, should declare incompetence, despite the fact that we have an opinion from the Strasbourg Court, which says that it is a state crime.
