The head of SPAK Altin Dumani has sent a clear message to the head of DP and PL, that they cannot intimidate him with their daily accusations and insults.
Asked about the accusations that Berisha and Meta have directed at him, Dumani said that he is not impressed by the politicians' attacks on him and work.
He underlined that the workload he has at work makes it almost impossible to follow the political statements against him and the work he does.
" It is the first time I have heard the statements. I have information because close staff informs me. But myself, due to the limited time available to me, as it is full of work, I don't have time to deal with you. We are attentive to the denunciations of suspected corruption affairs by anyone who makes them. I don't have time to follow the rest with voice and image. I have an indifferent attitude towards such statements. Every day of my life since I stepped foot in the prosecutor's office, I take care to follow the law. I don't like to comment on political attacks. I am very cold towards these political statements. It is my choice to ignore you ," Dumani said.
Dumani responded to Berisha's accusations that he only earns the state salary, while his wife, who was engaged in translation, has three apartments.
" I don't give an answer to Berisha, but I give it to the public, the Albanian tax payers. Every asset of mine has been verified in detail in a rigorous administrative investigation process by vetting institutions. I have nothing to hide. I have declared every income of Everything is a product of my family's 25 years of work. A loan was taken in 2006 with which I bought one of my properties when it was Berisha.
I definitely have the assets. They are declared. Two are before 2013, 1 after 2013. They know me very well. Never, never in my life have I accepted not an improper benefit, not a bribe, but even a gift that exceeds the amount of $100 that is a legal obligation. I made a pact with myself and my family. I love my job. I do it with flesh and soul. Dumani said.
Further, the head of SPAK stated that he has also received threats from Albanian organized crime, which according to him is very dangerous.
Dumani said that many prosecutors, their family members, have been threatened by this organized crime, as he emphasized that it is about concrete cases and real threats.
" We are concerned about organized crime, because their lives and those of their families are at risk. There are many cases where prosecutors have been threatened. Albanian organized crime is very dangerous and this is not only said by us, but also by the foreign agencies with which we cooperate. We are not talking about a dangerous imaginary crime, but about a real one ", said Dumani in the interview for RTSH.
