Tonin Gjinaj, General Secretary of the Transport Federation, has reacted strongly to the news that service fees for driving licenses will be doubled, and some of them even quadrupled.
He said that this decision was taken without notifying them as an interest group, calling it an insidious move.
" Yesterday I was made aware, but not officially, that these are tariffs that have been set stealthily and unfairly, without taking the opinion of interest groups. Fare prices cannot be quadrupled. I know they come into effect on February 4th. It is unacceptable that we are not aware of it. This will cause a lot of confusion after February 4th. It is acrobatic and unimaginable. We will not sit idly by. We gathered last night and are collecting signatures and will protest. Albanians will not be ready for such things. You cannot go from one to four at once. First we had to be informed. The driving schools are now on the verge of bankruptcy, they are surrendered ", he said in 'News24'.
