The newly elected head of SPAK, Klodian Braho, held an official meeting today with the OSCE Ambassador to Albania, Michel Tarran. The meeting comes a few days after Braho took office as head of the Special Structure against Corruption and Organized Crime, at a crucial moment for justice reform and public expectations.

Ambassador Tarran congratulated Mr. Braho on his appointment and wished him success in this sensitive task, considering the leadership of SPAK as a key role in strengthening the rule of law in Albania. In the official statement, he reaffirmed the OSCE's unwavering support for SPAK and emphasized that public trust in justice passes precisely through concrete results in the fight against corruption and organized crime.

The Head of the OSCE Presence in Albania, Ambassador Michel Tarran, met today with Mr. Klodjan Braho, following his election as Head of the Special Structure against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK). Ambassador Tarran congratulated Mr. Braho on his election to office and wished him success in taking on this important and challenging role. Ambassador Tarran reaffirmed the OSCE Presence’s strong support for SPAK and its key role in the justice reform process in Albania, emphasizing the importance of this institution in strengthening the rule of law and increasing public trust in Albania’s democratic institutions.

During the meeting, Ambassador Tarran and Mr. Braho discussed current and future cooperation between the OSCE Presence and SPAK, including support through capacity-building activities, policy advice, and the exchange of international best practices.

The Head of the Presence reiterated the OSCE Presence’s continued commitment to supporting justice institutions in Albania and welcomed Mr. Braho’s views on ways in which co-operation could be further strengthened to effectively address corruption and organized crime ,” the OSCE reports.
