Journalist Artan Hoxha commented on the criminal record that has begun this year, focusing on the murders of recent days, such as the mafia assassination of 30-year-old Kristjan Marku.
He said that the biggest crimes occur at the beginning of the year since police vigilance is lower at this time of year due to the workload, while emphasizing that the murder of Kristjan Bardhi remains worrying and the police should be more attentive to them.
According to him, the murder of Kristjan Marku is well-organized and planned, but no such murder was committed out of enmity and therefore the main lead for his execution is currently related to revenge.
" In fact, the beginning of the year is a period, statistically speaking, two periods of the year that coincide with holidays and vacations are two moments when there is an increase in crime levels, and this happens for many factors."
One of the factors is that the population in the territory increases because many immigrants come, vigilance decreases and also the police take on many tasks during these periods of the year and have the burden of stopping such events. Last year it started with the murder of Sinomat, an event that still has no perpetrator, but the murder of any Albanian is undoubtedly serious.
Murders create a great influence on the public, they are events that have an impact, so it is a cycle of murders that are not prevented and the failure to prevent shows the failure of our law enforcement agencies. Mirdita is a small area and there people know each other and for so many years we have had 4 families that have entered a cycle of events that do not stop and the latest is the murder of Kristjan Marku.
Although it is said that it is a 30-year conflict, it is not like that, the origins began in 2023, there was a clash with firearms, at the moment it happened they killed him and that massacre took place near the Rrëshen police station, from where a new front opened, where in addition to the three tribes, the Bardhi tribe also joined.
In this specific case, there is no evidence that members of the Bardhi family have been in conflict with other members involved in trafficking. The last victim is the son of a teacher, he was not guarded, he was driving a simple car and was unarmed, because in Albania those people who have conflicts drive around in armored cars and with weapons ," Hoxha said on 'MCN'.
He further added that these are problematic crimes that require intervention because, as with the murder of Martin Bardhi, the state police have taken the members of the Reçi family who live in Rrëshen under their protection, but according to him, the solution is not to have the police at the door of the house.
" Meanwhile, the last victim is from another family, but if we act by protecting the affected families with police vans, it won't work. Considering the traditions of the area, because the Bardhi tribe is a large and well-known tribe there and has been hit twice, therefore in this case the solution they will find is revenge."
On the other hand, they say that we are protected by the police and are not involved. Now that murder seems to be very well organized, there was surveillance, a signal for the victim's location, and then in record time the attack was carried out and the perpetrator fled the scene.
"The fact that it was done in this way shows that we are dealing with a well-planned murder and not with an enemy. Those who carry out these assassinations mean that they are not simply a family that has an enemy, they have support, logistics, information that they receive and through the channels that they may have in law enforcement agencies ," said the journalist.
