As a result of the dam explosion, the Saranda - Himara national road has been blocked. The incident occurred today at noon. The Sasaj village hydroelectric power plant is supplied with water from the Kalasa river source and produces electricity for the coastal area of Himara.
Currently, the national road, Lukovë-Bunec, is only accessible by heavy vehicles. The water supply to the canal has been cut off by the dam at the source of the Kalasë River.
It is learned that water has entered 2 bar-restaurant businesses in Bunec, while 10 other businesses have suffered material damage from the flooding.
Himara Police informs that work is underway to evacuate any person who may be in danger.
