Oncology doctor Edmond Gashi appeared today in front of the GJKKO team, to familiarize himself with the security measure, together with other doctors who are accused of corruption and abuse of office.
Gashit has requested that the current measure of 'prison arrest' be lifted.
"Please remove the security measure, you are preventing me from practicing the profession of a doctor. There are 50 biopsies that have come out and are waiting for intervention", he declared.
Almost three weeks ago, the Tirana Court ordered "house arrest" measures for doctor Edmond Gashi.
Doctor Edmond Gashi is suspected to have, in collaboration with his colleagues, referred patients diagnosed with cancer to a private clinic, which is in the name of his father. For each patient referred for treatment at the private hospital, the Oncology doctors benefited from significant sums of money.
