The signals that are coming from the real estate market show that during this year 2024, there is a reluctance to buy and sell properties.
The reason for this situation seems to be the investigations of the anti-corruption structure, SPAK. Gjin Gjoka, a member of the diaspora business chamber invited to the show "E-ZONE", said that in his contacts with Albanians in different countries, one of the concerns he receives is related to the "fear" of SPAK.
"I speak more immigrants. There is a lot of interest for many of them to come to invest, but also to return. But recently, the question you are asking us most often is related to SPAK investigations. Some of them are reluctant to invest or require a lot of security. I appeal to him and tell him that SPAK has nothing to do with immigrants' investments, but only with those officials who abused", said Gjin Gjoka on Vizion Plus.
The expert of this market, Eglent Bici, shares the same opinion.
"I think that to some extent SPAK's investigations have had the effect that these first months of the year do not have the boom of other years. There is a stagnation in these months", said Bici in "E-ZONE".
The fear of SPAK investigations has also affected the state budget. Blendi Gonxhja stated several times that managers or managers at lower levels are reluctant to sign procedures or contracts.
