Kreshnik Spahiu says that the reason why there are no other candidates in the race for the leadership of the Democratic Party is directly related to the control of the voting process and the concealment of the real number of members. According to him, Sali Berisha has removed or neutralized every figure who could enter the race, because if other names like Ervin Salianji, Evi Kokalari, Alesia Balliu, Meremeja or Vladimiri were to run, each of them would have commissioners at the polling stations and would have control over the counting of votes.
Spahiu claims that this would highlight the real turnout and show that the DP, according to him, has no more than 10,000 active members. He adds that by being alone in the race, Berisha controls the entire administration of the process and can manipulate the figures for turnout and membership.
"Sali Berisha eliminated all opponents within the party, all its candidates, everyone who would be in the race and who would have the right to be commissioners. Eliminating all opponents makes it possible for Berisha to hide his true membership in the DP. By voting for one member in the vote, if Ervin Salianji, Evi Kokalari, Alesia Balliu, Meremja or Vladimiri were to participate, all five of them would have commissioners and at least the responsible votes would be counted. Sali Berisha will hide the party's decline because that party does not have more than 10,000 members. By not allowing candidates to compete, Berisha has only his commissioners and will declare 100,000 votes, 100,000 members. So he will also lie about the number of members and voters. He hides the party's decline. Berisha, by eliminating opponents, eliminates any kind of faction that exists in it. "In the future, it would be formalized and in the next elections, when Berisha is 90 years old, that faction would be on the rise," Spahiu told "Report TV".
