The police have reacted to the serious accident that occurred on the Lin-Pogradec road, confirming that the driver of the vehicle has died in hospital.
It was initially reported that the driver was injured and transported for medical attention, but according to the official police announcement, he did not survive his injuries.
According to preliminary data, the vehicle left the road and crashed into the side barriers. The victim is citizen AI, 32 years old.
The investigation team continues to work to clarify the circumstances and causes that led to the fatal accident.
"On the "Lin–Pogradec" road axis, citizen AI, 32 years old, while driving the vehicle, is suspected of having lost control of his vehicle and, as a result, the vehicle went off the road. As a result of the accident, the driver of the vehicle, citizen AI, died in hospital.
"The investigation team is working to fully clarify the circumstances and cause of the accident," the police announced.
