Besmir Dervishi has been appointed Deputy Director of the Tirana Police.
His appointment follows the suspension of Erion Ismaili, who previously held this position. Ismaili was suspended as part of an action by the Special Prosecution Office (SPAK), following investigations related to tenders at the National Agency for the Information Society (AKSHI).
Regarding his professional profile, Dervishi has a long experience in the ranks of the State Police. He has headed police stations no. 3 and no. 5 in Tirana, and most recently served as the head of the Property Crimes Section at the Tirana Local Police Directorate.
