The Port of Saranda Captaincy has announced a temporary suspension of navigation due to deteriorating weather and sea conditions.
According to the official announcement, high-intensity winds and waves reaching up to 6 Beaufort force have exceeded the permitted norms for safe navigation, forcing authorities to stop issuing permits for sea travel today.
The ban includes all vessels, including tourist vessels, fishing boats and small boats, throughout the bay and coastal area of Saranda, Ksamil and Borsh.
Also, due to the current situation, the movement of the Saranda-Corfu ferry line and vice versa has been suspended, and it will not operate until further notice from the relevant authorities.
