Criminology professor Ervin Karamuço says that Ervin Mata, the most wanted Albanian justice official who was arrested in Brazil, will be extradited.
In an interview for "Ora e Fundit" on ABC News, Karamuço stated that his departure abroad occurred before the disappearance of Ervis Martinaj.
Karamuço added that the American DEA may have also had an influence on Mata's arrest.
"He became publicly known after the block incident, the shooting where he clashed with Vis Martinaj, his life on the run, the indictment by SPAK for a series of criminal offenses. His departure to Brazil and further information about his movements. He was arrested in Sao Paolo, he was internationally wanted. SPAK has filed a request for his extradition. We do not have an extradition agreement with this country. There is a legal procedure, it is decided by the Brazilian court. The departure of this character happened before Ervis Martinaj lost track. The American CIA and DIA are involved in a fierce war with what are considered terrorist organizations and the people who collaborate with them. This character has collaborated with these cartels, whether in Bolivia or in Brazil. He was observed, surrounded and then handcuffed. The DEA must have had influence, I can't say about the CIA," said Karamuço.
