Former prosecutor Eugen Beci has spoken about the frequent attacks and insults of the chairman of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, towards the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani.
He said that no one feels good when he sees that a former high official who held the most important positions of the country addresses the prosecutors with such language.
Beci added that if Meta has claims that SPAK is politically influenced in the investigations against him, then he must prove these claims in another way.
"A person, even a prosecutor, does not feel good when a person who has held the highest state positions reacts in this way. The urge to attack prosecutors must go away. A desire that has arisen since 2013 when politics began to intimidate all magistrates. It is an attack that should not be personal but based on parties. If SPAK for Meta has data that is politically influenced, the gentleman in the best possible way can show this data and reveal that SPAK has been captured politically", said Beci.
Furthermore, as regards the reason for the harsh reaction from Meta, the former prosecutor said that this may be related to the stage where the investigations against the head of PL and his wife Monika Kryemadhi may take place.
"If it is some kind of reaction to SPAK's investigations, then I think it is normal to face in courtrooms and legal arguments to reveal the procedural violations that they claim. From the actions carried out by the prosecution, the Meta couple has realized that there is an investigation against them and of course they have their right to react, but in terms of content, the chosen form is not appropriate", added the former prosecutor in the show "Breaking".
Among other things, Beci said that prosecutors should not be intimidated by such attacks and reject them by presenting irrefutable evidence that supports the investigation against Meta and Kryemadhi.
