Analyst Skënder Minxhozi says that the chairman of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, with his behavior, is openly showing that he has problems with justice.
In an interview for "Newsline" on ABC News, Minxhozi said that Meta, without being a defendant by the Special Prosecutor's Office (SPAK), is behaving as such.
According to Minxhozi, Meta has been a quiet politician, but changed after the judicial reform vote in 2016. He added that his nervousness also shows that the investigations may be deeper than publicly exposed.
" Actually, his reactions were extreme, they were out of the format of a politician with a lot of experience. I am very surprised with the transformation of the politician Meta. He was a politician who did not have this explosive character that he is showing after 2016, when he also passed the justice reform. The calmness of the Meta politician had an interruption with the reform vote in the parliament and gradually came to be lost. Today we have the culminating point of a career with accusations which are baseless. The case of Ilir Meta is a little strange, because many people did not know the extent until a few hours ago, and the risk that Meta took in relation to SPAK, they knew that there was word that he was being investigated, they went to the investigators, SPAK called him , a kind of media rumor was created that Ilir Meta had serious problems with justice, but nothing concrete.
He's yelling making people barely turn their heads even when people have no intention of dealing with his problems. It also shows me as an ordinary Albanian, that by doing that simple calculation of his irritation, he makes me connect it to the problems he must have. Otherwise, a politician would have to be calm, mask his problem, appear in public as normal as possible. Whereas Meta here, without being a defendant, has a reaction as if he is actually a defendant in many cases at once. This surprises me. Why should politician Meta lose his cool at this level? Ilir Meta should have been much calmer. It is incomprehensible to see those scenes of him in public. SPAK should be a prosecuting body that carries out its constitutional duties, implements the legal framework and tries to prove them before a court ", he emphasized.
