Former ambassador Sokol Gjoka, while speaking about the Iranian attacks against Israel, said that any negative development in the Middle East also affects the Western Balkans.
Gjoka underlined that despite the occasional attacks and tensions, he added that it cannot be said that we are at the point of starting a global war.
The ambassador recalled that Albania has been a victim of cyber attacks launched by Iran, also due to its position next to Israel.
"We have been the victim of a cyber war coming from Iran. We know the effects of Iran's unprecedented actions that undermine security, but also peace in every country in the world. We must be careful and carefully follow the developments and policies of Iran. Iran has withdrawn from the talks and may even work on creating nuclear weapons. Even we, as a country hit by Iran's cyber war, must be vigilant, although our attitudes have been measured. Even in partnership with the West, he thinks that we should adhere to these attitudes and increase vigilance", Gjoka further told Euronews.
