The Minister of Health and Social Protection, Albana Koçiu, has been called to the Health Commission, to provide clarifications regarding the fire that occurred in the Emergency Department of the Health and Welfare Center.
The meeting was accompanied by debates between the chairperson of the commission Zheni Gjergji and the deputy of SP Klodiana Spahiu.
The latter stated that everyone should be proud of the investments made, while the head of the commission was ironic when she said that the investments were welcomed by the whole world.
Excerpts from the discussion:
Klodiana Spahiu: We went to the electrician to see the defect. This hospital is worth 17 million euros, every Albanian who has gone there to receive service has seen what service was offered. It is an electrical and technical fault and has nothing to do with service provision in functioning pavilions
Zheni Gjergji: It was Osman Stafa who made a public status because the citizens did not know where they were going
Klodiana Spahiu: You lead the commission and openly admit that you are there politically. Every time we try to say something you try to turn it back technically.
Until 2015, the cardiology service was only from 08:00 to 16:00.
To say that nothing has been done, while it is an investment that has been welcomed by all Albanians
Zheni Gjergji: It has been greeted from all over the world (laughs). Invite us sometimes when you do inaugurations.
